Install and activate woocommerce plugin

Step 1

Go to coupons

Step 2

Create coupon example “summeroff5” and set type of discount

Step 3

Set amount of discount example 5 percent and select expiry date

Usage restriction

Minimum spend: It can restrict user to apply coupon if you set minimum spending $100 than user can not use coupon code on $99

Maximum spend: It can restrict user to apply coupon if you set maximum spending $100 than user can not use coupon code on $101

Usage limits

Usage limit per coupon: if you select 1 the coupon code can be use only one time
Usage limit per user: if you select 1 than only one user can use this coupon code

Create Gift Certificate:

Now create gift certificate manually or download gift certificate online (batter to create own)

Create gift certificate product

There are two ways of creating gift certificate product

1. Without plugin

2. With plugin

1) Without plugin

Create new product

Step 1

Virtual: when you mark it virtual it will exclude shipping and tax etc
Downloadable: It allow you to upload gift certificate

Step 2

Upload gift certificate of direct paste URL

How it looks like on front end

How it Works?

When user purchases the gift card, after successful purchase the admin will be notify via order section under woocommerce tab.

Once admin received payment admin will mark it complete and grant access of download to customer, user will get downloadable link via email so user can forward email to any of his friend or family or he can download certificate take print and send as a post card

Once customer complete order admin will receive order

Click on order to edit status

If you want to add expiry date

If customer downloaded one time now you can revoke access means user can not download anymore

Once you update the order status user will receive the email with downloadable link
